History.

The NAACP is the largest and oldest civil rights organization. Founded in 1909 by a multi-racial group of citizens committed to justice. The NAACP has attracted over 20 million members in its 100+ year history.

The mission of the NAACP is to ensure the political, educational, social, and economic equality of rights of all persons and to eliminate racial hatred and racial discrimination.

The vision of the NAACP is to ensure a society in which all individuals have equal rights and there is no racial hatred or racial discrimination.

Our Branch.

On January 1, 1958, the first branch of the NAACP in New Hampshire received its charter at People’s Baptist Church in Portsmouth, NH.

We are committed to equality. Our team investigates allegations of discrimination. While we cannot offer legal advice, we can be partners in mediation, as well as refer complainants to attorneys or other offices for assistance. [read more]
